Biography
Winter Giovanni serves as the Director of Creative & Marketing Officer (CCMO) and is responsible for overseeing GROW It Foundation's creative programming and marketing efforts. This executive-level position leads initiatives that empower justice-impacted individuals through writing, storytelling, and vocational programming while building the organization's brand identity, marketing campaigns, and public presence.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Program Leadership
- Directs the From Cell to Shelf initiative, mentoring returning citizens in writing and publishing their work
- Develops and facilitates workshops in writing, journaling, and storytelling as therapeutic and vocational tools
- Collaborates with correctional institutions, reentry programs, and community partners to recruit participants
- Establishes program goals, metrics, and outcomes for impact measurement
Marketing & Brand Development
- Creates and implements a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to elevate GROW It's visibility
- Manages all public-facing messaging, including digital platforms, newsletters, media outreach, and printed materials
- Develops compelling narratives that showcase GROW It's mission and program success to attract donors, partners, and participants
- Oversees branding for fundraising campaigns, events, and expansion initiatives
Fundraising Support
- Partners with the Chief Development & Housing Officer (CDHO) to align marketing campaigns with fundraising strategies
- Creates donor-focused storytelling materials to increase engagement and giving
- Supports fundraising events through sponsorship outreach, marketing, and public relations
Public Relations & Ambassadorship
- Serves as a public-facing ambassador for GROW It Foundation in media interviews, community panels, and strategic events
- Leverages professional networks to expand the organization's reach and credibility
Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in publishing, creative program development, nonprofit leadership, and/or marketing
- Proven ability to develop programs for justice-impacted individuals, youth, and underserved populations
- Strong communications, public speaking, and partnership-building skills
- Experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, and donor engagement
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage budgets
