Weldon "King Don" Hullett is a Detroit-born visionary creative, filmmaker, educator, and advocate whose life journey reflects resilience, innovation, and purpose. Known as "King Don" since high school, Weldon began his path as a storyteller early, founding Well-Done Films at just 18 and producing Video All Stars, a nationally syndicated television show.
His creative reach spans decades—directing music videos for both Detroit artists and national recording acts, while contributing to major Hollywood productions.

Weldon's life is also a testament to the power of second chances. After being incarcerated in New Jersey on a misdemeanor charge, he faced extended separation from his family due to changes in bail reform law. Upon release in 2024, he endured homelessness in Atlantic City.
Instead of letting adversity define him, he transformed it into a mission to advocate for people experiencing homelessness and to amplify voices often ignored by society—a purpose directly aligned with the Grow It Foundation's commitment to re-entry, mentorship, and empowerment.
